Bobbi Rose

Tribal Archaeologist

Bobbi Rose is the Tribal Archaeologist for the Spokane Tribe Preservation Program (STIPP), where she has worked since 2011. Bobbi is a Spokane tribal member and a descendant of the Colville and Coeur d’Alene tribes. Bobbi has worked in all sectors that make up STIPP, working in the field with the crew and has been the archives and collections assistant for the 6 years. Bobbi realized that she would not be able to advance any further in her career without receiving a degree. She graduated with honors and received her bachelor’s degree, majoring in Anthropology with a minor in Archaeology in 2024 from Eastern Washington University. She is honored to be a part of such an amazing team and helping to preserve and protect her ancestor’s cultural resources. Preserving the cultural resources is essential for maintaining the Spokane Tribe’s identity, bridging the past and present, and uncovering the stories of their ancestors and developing a better understanding of what it means to be human. In her spare time, she loves to spend time with her family, hunting, fishing, boating, camping and riding ATV’s.
