POSITION SUMMARY

Responsible for attending to the cleaning and stocking needs of assigned areas of the property.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Must be willing to work with all regulatory agencies, i.e., Gaming Commission, State, and Federal.
  • Must learn and ensure procedures are being followed per the department’s cleaning schedules.

  • Must adhere to our SMILE service standards and Core Values by providing excellent guest service.  Maintain a positive and productive attitude with guests as well as fellow team members.
  • Dusts, sweeps, mops, scrubs, vacuum, and clean assigned areas.
  • Sweeps stairwells, parking lot, and other areas, and attends to other special projects, as requested.
  • Cleans and power washes driveway entrance, as requested.
  • Responsible for checking the parking lot and the entrance to the casino for any safety violations.
  • Cleans rugs, carpets and upholstered furniture and window blinds as needed.
  • Empties wastebaskets; empties and cleans ashtrays.  Transports trash and dirty linens to designated areas.
  • Assists in the minor maintenance in public areas, such as: changing light bulbs, unplugging toilets, etc., and reports problems that need further attention to the Facilities Manager, Housekeeping supervisor, or Shift Manager on duty.
  • Re-stocks paper supplies, chemical supplies in bottles, and maintains washroom supplies.
  • Stocks and maintains housekeeping storage rooms.
  • Routinely inspects work areas, identifying potential problems or repair needs, and notifying the Facilities Manager of maintenance to be scheduled.
  • Drop Tips to Cage at end of each day.
  • Responsible for staying up to date with current Casino promotions and events to communicate information to guests.
  • Facilitates the flow of information throughout the department by attending regularly scheduled meetings.
  • Ensure lost and found items are delivered to the security office.
  • Assist in maintaining floor security by notifying Management and Security of suspicious activity.
  • Must be able to work shift work, holidays, weekends, and special events.
  • Other duties as assigned.

POSITION SUMMARY

Responsible for assisting customers with transactions and for balancing your bank drawers within the Cage Department. Maintain accuracy throughout all phases of the balancing process. Will be responsible for promoting the day-to-day membership of our Players Club (Sun Club) and will work with the Marketing Department in meeting all casino promotion event goals that apply to the Cage/Club Rep position; such as printing Sun Club cards, answering questions, directing guests to the Marketing area and other duties as required.  May be required to perform the bill acceptor drop functions and/or soft count functions as needed.

  • Assist in maintaining cage floor security by notifying department supervisors, security and surveillance of suspicious activity.
  • Assists other Cashiers within the Cage, as needed.
  • Held accountable, to a very high degree, for the accuracy and thoroughness of departmental records, reports and Confidentiality.
  • Must be proactive and identify problems, and solutions. Follow up with Cage Manager or Cage Supervisor.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of our database system to perform duties with the promotional tracking system.
  • Promote Casino promotions with all customers and prompt new customers to sign onto our players club.
  • Assist each customer through the membership process by inputting customer data into promotional tracking system.

The Soft-Count/Drop Team Member is responsible for swapping bill acceptor boxes,

counting and recording of all currency, coin, vouchers, table game drops, as well as vending machine drops, ensuring compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations of the Gaming Commission, Federal and State laws governing monetary transactions and company policies, procedures and controls.

  • Prepares various reports, including stiff sheets, transfer sheets, audit fills and credit slips; reconciles all totals to the Master Summary; forwards all information to appropriate individual(s).
  • Maintains all records, reports and other required paperwork in the Soft Count Department.
  • Responsible for the removal of all bill acceptor boxes from the casino slot machines.
  • Responsible for the accuracy of all documentation concerning the drop.
  • Responsible to keep accurate account of all the drop activities.
  • Responsible for transporting bill acceptor carts to soft count room ensuring they are accompanied at all times by casino security and TGA.
  • Responsible for pulling out chairs before the drop and pushing the chairs back in after the drop.
  • Facilitates the flow of information by attending regularly scheduled departmental meetings.
  • Held accountable, to a high degree, for the accuracy and thoroughness of departmental records and reports, and confidentiality.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONIBILTIES:

  • Operate passenger vehicles in safe and responsible manner in all road conditions.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitization standards as recommended by CDC for Moccasin Express vehicles.
  • Transport clients to and from appointments safely and in time.
  • Maintain complete documentation as required by Federal Transit Administration (FTA) and Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) compliance regulations.
  • Must follow and adhere to confidentiality standards.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED FOR POSITION:

INTRODUCTION:

Under the general supervision of the Lead Dispatch / Communications Specialist, Communication specialist duties include but are not limited to: Responsible for the handling of all incoming communications via telephone, radio, and in person. Communication specialists are also responsible for recording and documenting such communications. Communications Specialist are responsible for the maintenance of records and various legal documents as well as the performance of various clerical duties. Duties may include the compilation of statistics, creation of reports, reporting, filing, and indexing. Work involves the use of standard office equipment, including radio, audio video, and multiple computer terminals.

 

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • The incumbent must be able to carry out instructions.
  • Interpret a variety of instructions in written, oral, picture, or schedule form; understand, interpret and apply laws, rules, or regulations to specific situations.
  • Prepare routine correspondence; prepare accurate documentation; compile and prepare reports.
  • Respond to inquiries from the public and/or officials; communicate effectively.
  • Maintain records according to established procedures and policies
  • Handle sensitive or technical inquiries from contacts with officials and general public.
  • Operate a two-way radio to receive and transmit messages.
  • Receives and transmits emergency and non-emergency calls and logs all phone calls and radio transmissions into software system
  • Dispatch and direct emergency personnel consider call priority, availability and the number and types of personnel needed
  • Coordinates police business with other departments and jurisdictions when needed
  • Solicit informational responses, coordinate and communicate responses and monitor on-going activities as received.
  • Upload and enter court documents into the Spilman Technologies system.
  • Assist in providing on-the-job training for new Operators and other departmental personnel designated for training.
  • Exercise discretion in a manner consistent with Departmental Policy, Procedures orders, and directives and Information Privacy.
  • Understand and operate within judicial processes and jurisdictional limitations.
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with in-house staff as well as other jurisdictions including state, federal and tribal.
  • Monitor security cameras for other businesses and or schools.
  • Perform all duties in a professional and safe manner

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED FOR POSITION:

  • Must have a working knowledge of the layout of the Spokane Indian Reservation
  • Good spoken and written English; basic knowledge of (or trainable in) radio procedures; basic knowledge of (or trainable in) departmental policies, practices and standard operating procedures; knowledge and utilization of appropriate resources and the willingness to initiate use of available resources.
  • Have knowledge of Crime Reporting Information System (CRIS), Spillman CAD reporting system or similar systems,
  • Knowledge of Privacy Act for the purpose of confidentiality.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Possess a valid Washington State driver’s license, have a good driving record
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug screen test and random drug testing thereafter.
  • Computer experience required, with the ability to use required software; MS Word, Excel and Computer aided dispatching systems.

SPECIAL CERTIFICATIONS REQURED:

  • Omnix / ACCESS
  • BIA communication certificate (Basic telecommunications)
  • Washington Telecommunicator
  • Security awareness

 

Positions with the Spokane Tribal Law Enforcement Division are subject to a one (1) year Probationary Period that begins upon successful completion of basic telecommunications training, unless basic academy criteria are met at time of employment, then probation will begin upon date of hire.

INTRODUCTION:

The objective of the Spokane Tribal Park Ranger Division is the monitoring and preservation of all cultural and natural resources that the Spokane tribe of Indians has or have had vested interest in. These resources include but not limited to: Lands, water, habitat, wild game monitoring, and preservation of Culturally significant areas. The intent of this active enforcement, preservation and protection of these vital resources will be to safeguard these assets for future generations.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPOSIBILTIES:

  • Enforcement of all Federal, State, and Tribal laws adopted by the Spokane Tribe of Indians.
  • Responsible for the protection, safety and wellbeing of all people and property under the jurisdiction of the Spokane Tribe.
  • Protection of all cultural and natural resources of the Spokane Tribe of Indians.
  • Actively patrol all waters within the jurisdiction of the Spokane Tribe.
  • Patrol all lands within the jurisdiction of the Spokane Tribe.
  • Patrol lands outside the exterior boundaries that are owned, have cultural or legal interests by the Spokane tribe.
  • Rangers will assist in the preservation and enforcement of all laws governing the use and protection of Spokane Tribal hunting and fishing laws and regulations.
  • Assist the Department of Natural Resources with the preservation and management of all resources of the Spokane Tribe.
  • Sell fishing and camping permits are authorized by the Spokane Tribe.
  • Work closely with all agencies assigned to the protection and enforcement on Lake Roosevelt recreation area.
  • Investigate civil, ARPA violations, NAGPRA violations, Tribal resolution violations, and other applicable laws of the Spokane Tribe.
  • Keep, safeguard, and maintain all equipment issued and needed to perform duties assigned.
  • Other duties assigned related to the Ranger program.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED FOR POSITION:

  • Must be able to gather information and complete detailed reports.
  • Safely operate vehicles in all weather and road conditions.
  • Communicate effectively and coherently over enforcement radios.
  • Communicate effectively in person, on the phone, and in written format.
  • Good knowledge of the laws and ordinances governing local law enforcement.
  • Load, unload, aim, fire and maintain weapons at levels of proficiency and standards.
  • Familiar with the Spokane Tribal Park Ranger policy and procedure manual.
  • Maintain and use efficiently all department vehicles, boats and assigned equipment.
  • Knowledge of computer applications, copiers, fax, projectors, etc.
  • Knowledge of community programs providing youth services

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be a US Citizen who is a lawful permanent resident.
  • Must have a BIA or State Peace/Police officer certification in good standings or up to one year to complete certification.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must have a minimum of High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Must be able to legally possess and carry a firearm in accordance with Federal, State and Tribal Law.
  • No History of Crimes related to dishonesty.
  • In the past 5 years no personal or professional issues with the Use or Sale of Controlled Substances.
  • Must have and maintain above standard driving record and be insurable by the Spokane Tribe of Indians insurance provider.
  • Education and training pertaining to job description.
  • NO FELONY CONVICTIONS.
