NEW TWO RIVERS AMPHITHEATER
A new project approved by the Spokane Tribal Business Council is under construction for its targeted grand opening on July 19, 2008. An outdoor entertainment amphitheater is being built at Two Rivers Casino. The stage will have large poles on the backside to look like a large teepee. A Spokane Tribal crew is quickly shaping the amphitheater and the surrounding landscaping. Avista is on board installing an appropriate electrical system to accommodate the electrical needs of the amphitheater and its performers. Behind the staging area is the beautiful view of the confluence of the Columbia and Spokane Rivers.
July 19 is the first scheduled performance already on the calendar. Country music star Clint Black will perform at 9:00pm. The opening bands for Clint Black are; Jim Boyd at 6pm and Sammy Eubanks at 7:30pm. The Two Rivers Amphitheater will be laid out with festival seating and only a small number of VIP seats available. The outdoor facility can hold up to 12,000 concert-goers.
July 27 Ronnie Milsap will perform on the Tribe's new stage. Opening for Ronnie Milsap is Elbow Coulee and another favorite of the area; Too Slim & the Taildraggers. Assisting with the Tribe’s newest venture is the staff from Two Rivers Casino marketing and the Tribe’s Public Relations office. During each performance scheduled at the amphitheater there will be space for vendors. All vendors can contact Mike Rempfher at Two Rivers Casino or Jamie Sijohn located at the Alfred McCoy Administration Building.
Vendors are also being recruited for the Annual Two Rivers Casino Fourth of July weekend celebration. Please contact Robin Kieffer for vendor space during the Fourth of July weekend. New things are planned for the popular July celebration at Two Rivers Casino. New inflatable water slides will be on site for the kids to enjoy from 3pm to 9pm, live bands, and a new boat parade is scheduled. If you want more information about the boat parade please contact the Two Rivers Marina. The ever-popular fireworks display will begin at 10:00pm on Saturday, July 5.
