Earth Day Celebration

The Spokane Tribe participated in Spokane's Earth Day celebration held April 22, 2006 at Riverfront Park. A traveling exhibit display was produced by the Public Relations office to show off the positive impact the Spokane Tribe and its programs have with our environment, fisheries and natural resources. The Public Relations exhibit display will have the capability of customizing its content to have the most impact with each audience.

One of the Spokane Tribal Business Council goals is to provide the opportunity for our surrounding communities to learn of the positive about their neighbors on the Spokane Indian Reservation. The exhibit display highlighted the Spokane Tribe's history along the river-ways, the Tribe's Fish Hatchery, the revitalization of the White Sturgeon and the efforts of the Tribe with all natural resource protection activities.

The same exhibit display made its debut at the Lake Roosevelt Forum held April 17 and 18, 2006 at the Davenport Hotel.
