The mechanic will be responsible for all tire jobs which include mounting, balancing and repairs. Other duties will be performing routine maintenance checks such as; oil changes, tune-ups and checking fluids and keeping the shop maintained and cleaned.
TASKS AND DUTIES:
Performs Tire Work (mounting, balancing, and repairing)
Change oil and check fluids according to maintenance schedules
Provide quality customer service by performing proper vehicle maintenance and offering friendly service to customers
Maintains tools, equipment and shop area for the purpose of ensuring the availability of equipment in a safe operating conditionMust be able to work under limited supervision
Work is performed mostly indoors, but is subject to outdoor work in all weather conditions. The work environment is dirty, as the employee may get grease and oil on clothing and hands. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Must have a valid Washington State Drivers License and meet Tribal insurance requirements. The employee must also submit current drivers abstract annually to the Spokane Tribal Human Resources Department.
All Employees are subject to random and annual drug testing due to safety concerns and regulations.
Experience with tire changing machinery preferred, along with basic auto mechanic knowledge and customer service experience.
