CURRENT ON-GOING PROJECTS
1. “Community Improvement Plan” – A strategic action plan is being drafted to supplement the SCMP. The CIP will include 1, 3, and 5 year benchmark indicators in achieving SCMP element goals.
2. Grants (Identify, write, and submit) – Coordination and collaboration with tribal departments and programs have been initiated to seek funding for projects.
Current submissions include:
A. Turkish International Cooperation and Development Agency (TIKA) – Infrastructure Development Proposal and EPA
B. EPA Brownfield Area-Wide Planning Grant (BFAW)
C. WSDOT – Public Transportation Consolidated Grant Program
a. The Moccasin Express (TME) – Continued Deviated Fixed Route
b. TME Para-transit Operation Funding
c. Capital Grant – Replacement Bus
D. HUD ICDBG – West End Community Center
E. HUD Sustainable Construction in Indian Country Small Grant Program
F. HUD ICDBG Imminent Threat
G. Administration for Native Americans – Sustainable Employment and Economic Development Strategies
3. Tribal Data Resource (TDR), People Data Systems – A centralized socioeconomic database specific to the Spokane tribal population. Scheduled to be installed in October 2013.

4. Zoning and Building Codes – A workgroup has been created to help identify and analyze relevant Building Codes for implementation.
